【摘要】:Inflationpressureretentionisanimportantpropertyoftireperformancebecauseunderinflationcanadverselyaffecttirerollingresistance,handling,structuralintegrity,andtreadlife.Thistestmethodisusefulforresearchanddevelopmentevaluationoftheeffectsoftirecomponentformulationsandgeometryoninflationpressureretention.Testingforrateofpressurelossunderstaticconditionsispracticalbecauseofthefollowing:5.2.1Tiresinnormalusearepredominantlyatrest,and5.2.2Relativeairdiffusionratesofvarioustiresinnormalintermittentroadservicewillcorrelatewithstaticrelativerates,toafirstapproximation.Therelativeairdiffusionratesofdifferenttiresmaynotbequitethesameunderdynamicflexingaswhentestedstatically,butthedifferenceisbelievedtobesmall.Theresultsfromthistestmethodarenotsuitableforinferringtireinflationretentionundersevereserviceconditions,suchasheavycorneringorimpacts,thatmightcausesignificantairlossatthetire-rimseal.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherateofinflationpressurelossresultingfromairdiffusionthroughthestructuresoftubelesstiresunderconstanttemperatureconditions.Thetestingisdoneunderstaticconditions,thatis,nonrotating,nonloadedtires.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
