【摘要】:Radiometricmonitorsshallprovideaprovenpassivedosimetrytechniqueforthedeterminationofneutronfluencerate(fluxdensity),fluence,andspectruminadiversevarietyofneutronfields.Thesedataarerequiredtoevaluateandestimateprobablelong-termradiation-induceddamagetonuclearreactorstructuralmaterialssuchasthesteelusedinreactorpressurevesselsandtheirsupportstructures.Anumberofradiometricmonitors,theircorrespondingneutronactivationreactions,andradioactivereactionproductsandsomeofthepertinentnuclearparametersoftheseRMsandproductsarelistedinTable1.Table2providesdata(35)onthecumulativeandindependentfissionyieldsoftheimportantfissionmonitors.Notincludedinthesetablesarecontributionstotheyieldsfromphoto-fission,whichcanbeespeciallysignificantfornon-fissilenuclides(23-29,36-39).1.1Thismethoddescribesgeneralproceduresformeasuringthespecificactivitiesofradioactivenuclidesproducedinradiometricmonitors(RMs)bynuclearreactionsinducedduringsurveillanceexposuresforreactorvesselsandsupportstructures.MoredetailedproceduresforindividualRMsareprovidedinseparatestandardsidentifiedin2.1andinRefs11,24-27.Themeasurementresultscanbeusedtodefinecorrespondingneutroninducedreactionratesthatcaninturnbeusedtocharacterizetheirradiationenvironmentofthereactorvesselandsupportstructure.Theprincipalmeasurementtechniqueishighresolutiongamma-rayspectrometry,althoughX-rayphotonspectrometryandBetaparticlecountingareusedtoalesserdegreeforspecificRMs(1-29).1.1.1Themeasurementproceduresincludecorrectionsfordetectorbackgroundradiation,randomandtruecoincidencesumminglosses,differencesingeometrybetweencalibrationsourcestandardsandtheRMs,selfabsorptionofradiationbytheRM,otherabsorptioneffects,radioactivedecaycorrections,andburnoutofthenuclideofinterest(1-10,12-22).1.1.2Specificactivitiesarecalculatedbytakingintoaccountthetimedurationofthecount,theelapsedtimebetweenstartofcountandtheendoftheirradiation,thehalflife,themassofthetargetnuclideintheRM,andthebranchingintensitiesoftheradiationofinterest.Usingtheappropriatehalflifeandknownconditionsoftheirradiation,thespecificactivitiesmaybeconvertedintocorrespondingreactionrates(24-30).1.1.3Proceduresforcalculationofreactionratesfromtheradioactivitymeasurementsandtheirradiationpowertimehistoryareincluded.Areactionratecanbeconvertedtoneutronfluencerateandfluenceusingtheappropriateintegralcrosssectionandeffectiveirradiationtimevalues,and,withotherreactionratescanbeusedtodefinetheneutronspectrumthroughtheuseofsuitablecomputerprograms(24-30).1.1.4TheuseofbenchmarkneutronfieldsforcalibrationofRMscanreducesignificantlyoreliminatesystematicerrorssincemanyparameters,andtheirrespectiveuncertainties,requiredforcalculationofabsolutereactionratesarecommontoboththebenchmarkandtestmeasurementsandthereforeareselfcanceling.Thebenchmarkequivalentfluencerates,fortheenvironmenttested,canbecalculatedfromadirectratioofthemeasuredsaturatedactivitiesinthetwoenvironmentsandthecertifiedbenchmarkfluencerate(24-30).1.2ThismethodisintendedtobeusedinconjunctionwithASTMGuideE844.ThefollowingexistingorproposedASTMpractices,guides,andmetho......
